The Clifton Labs Z-180 Governor/Synchronizer is a field-proven hydro turbine speed control and synchronizer.

• Digital phase lock loop control.
• Speed signal derived from 120 VAC PTs. Speed sensing requires only 1 VAC permitting operation from residual rotor magnetization without generator excitation.
• Governor matches phase of generator and bus for rapid and accurate synchronizing.
• Selectable initial gate position for synchronizing
• Output contact indicating phase and frequency match of generator and bus.
• Governing modes selectable by external contacts. Can be easily controlled by manual switches, PLC, or SCADA system.
• Gate position output connects directly to servo amplifier.
• Separate gains for synchronizing and generating.
• All parameters field adjustable while unit is running.
• LCD display of program parameters, generator and bus frequencies, and phase difference.
